Baltimore Symphony Orchestra music director Marin Alsop and Hirshhorn interim director and chief curator Kerry Brougher discuss themes of destruction, catharsis, and renewal. Alsop conducts a performance of Benjamin Britten’s War Requiem following the talk. The panel discussion with moderator Joel Friedman, composer and faculty lecturer at Levine School of Music, is free for ticket holders for this night’s concert.
